Moda Health food drive journey

Medical members (for OEBB members who have medical; medical and dental; or medical, dental and pharmacy coverage through ODS)

  1. Go green with your EOBs – Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements are sent to the plan subscriber** following the submission of a claim. EOBs are not bills. They are statements explaining what health treatments or services were paid on the subscriber’s behalf. Log in to myModa today and verify you’ve elected to receive electronic notification when your EOBs are ready for viewing. If it’s been a while since you’ve visited your myModa account, you will be prompted at login to choose your EOB delivery preference. You can also check your delivery preference by clicking on the “Account” tab and then the link called “Change account settings.”
  2. eDocAmerica – Did you know you have email access to a doctor, dentist, pharmacist, psychologist, dietitian and fitness expert? Through this tool, Moda Health puts a doctor at your fingertips. Submit a question and most answers will arrive back in your myModa eDocAmerica inbox within 24 hours. With the online convenience of eDocAmerica, you may find it easier to address health concerns, ask questions or reduce the need to take time off from work for health-related issues. To access eDocAmerica, log in to myModa and click on the “myHealth” tab, then click on the “Email a doctor” icon.
  3. Prescription price check – Prescriptions are necessary to keep us healthy, and our Formulary Look-up tool, or the prescription price check, helps you see if there is a generic alternative available for your medication and determine whether there are alternatives within a specific drug class that may be available to you at a lower cost. This tool also includes a prescription price quote option that provides a cost estimate for a selected medication. To access the Formulary Look-up/prescription price check tool, log in to myModa and click on the “Pharmacy” tab, then click on the “Formulary Look-up” link.
  4. Additional Cost Tier – The Additional Cost Tier is designed to encourage you to explore less invasive treatment alternatives. Treatment options are personal and should be made by you, your family and your provider. The Additional Cost Tier pages are designed to help you discover all your options and review all your choices – including additional costs – to ultimately make the decision that is best for you.
  5. Health coaching – At Moda Health, we know health conditions can be challenging. That’s why we offer specialized health coaching programs designed to help you get the one-on-one attention you need to manage and improve your health. Our Moda Health OEBB programs include:

  2. Oral Health, Total Health – Because good oral health leads to good overall health, Moda Health has developed the Oral Health, Total Health program, designed to help diabetics and pregnant women maintain a healthier mouth. Diabetes increases the risk of cavities, gum disease, tooth loss, dry mouth and infection. Pregnant women who have periodontal disease are more likely to have premature and underweight babies. Bacteria can enter the bloodstream through the mouth, and the body’s response to dental infections can trigger early labor. Through our Oral Health, Total Health program, Moda Health offers additional oral health benefits to individuals diagnosed with diabetes and pregnant women in their third trimester. To learn more about this program or to enroll, log on to myModa and click on the “myHealth” tab. Next, click the “Oral Health, Total Health” link.
  3. Dental Optimizer - Dental Optimizer™ is a free, online application designed by Moda Health to help you understand how to prevent dental disease, learn the latest about the most effective treatments, and lower out-of-pocket costs for dental treatments and products. Dental Optimizer also features easy-to-use, interactive tools such as risk assessment quizzes and a treatment cost calculator.

Remember, Moda Health is always here to help you and answer your questions, so feel free to contact us.

*One entry per member. Members must be 18 and older to participate in the drawing.
**EOBs are sent only to the plan subscriber. If you are a Moda Health member but are not the plan subscriber, you do not need to make an electronic EOB selection.

Hello.

We have exciting news to share. ODS is changing its name to Moda Health.

Moda comes from the latin term "modus" and means "a way". We picked it because that's what we are here to do: help our communities find a way to better health.

Together, we can be more, be better.
