Eligibility

Eligibility for short term insurance

You qualify for Moda Health's short term health insurance coverage if you and any family members applying for coverage:

  • Are under age 65 for the policy duration. Dependents must be under age 26.
  • Are not eligible or won't become eligible for Medicare benefits during the policy term
  • Are not pregnant during the policy. If any family member is pregnant, apply for coverage post-pregnancy.
  • Do not have coverage under another hospital or medical insurance plan (Alaska policies only)
