The summary of benefits and coverage (SBC) is a helpful and detailed document. It includes answers to frequently asked questions, lists out-of-pocket costs for many common services and provides examples of how different treatments are covered. A benefit summary (SOB) is a simple, one-page document that summarizes in-network and out-of-network coverage for your plan. It’s a great way to see how services are covered at a glance.
