Medicaid eligibility changes

What is Medicaid redetermination?

Medicaid redetermination is when the state checks to see if you still qualify for Medicaid.

Before the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, this eligibility review would happen every year. This process is called redetermination. Redetermination was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic, and most people kept their Medicaid plan regardless of changes.

Is there anything I should do now?

Yes! Please make sure your address and contact information are current with your state Medicaid agency. Update your contact information and find out more at Your Texas Benefits
